Each individual is entitled to an ‘Apoteket’ card (bricka). This is valid for one calendar year from when it is issued and you should show it every time you pick up a prescription.

This card is used to monitor how much you’ve spent on medicine during that year to ensure you get the relevant discounts if you go over the required level (see above).
At the end of the calendar year, don’t dispose of the card. Next time you go in, it will just be updated with the data for the following year.
