Podiatrists (Fotvård)
Practitioners may be registered with the national organisation ‘Sveriges Fotterapeuter’ (Sweden’s foot therapists) although this is not obligatory. They provide both medical treatments (corns, calluses, ingrown toenails, bunions, verucas and so on) as well as more cosmetic treatments. It is also possible to have a ‘medical pedicure’ at regular spas where they will be able to provide treatments for less severe conditions.

To find a chiropodist near you, try the industry organisation Sweden's Podiatrists, and put the location in the box at the top of the page.

Osteopath or Chiropractor (Kiropraktor)

When looking for a Chiropractor, ensure they are registered with LKR – the Swedish Chiropractor Association. All their registered chiropractors have been trained abroad since no Swedish course currently meets standards set down by the European Council on Chiropractic Education. You can search through LKR's website by typing in your area or choosing your region from the list at the top of the page. Many are based in hospitals, which means you can get referrals to them from your local doctor but you can also contact them directly for appointments.

If you cannot find an LKR registered chiropractor in your area, it is also possible to search through KFS, Chiropractor Association of Sweden, another national body. Their members have been trained according to Swedish standards but may fall short of international standards.

Skin Care/Dermatologist (Hudvård)
It is possible to get referral to a specialist dermatologist for severe skin complaints through your doctor. These are normally based in clinics or hospitals and have full medical training.

However, there are high street hudvårds which can provide treatment for skin conditions such as acne or scarring. While they will have been required to train and may be registered with a national body, they will not be medically trained. They will also do skin consultations and more general facials.
